Dear Friends and Family,

The adventure of a lifetime, the Arctic Challenge, begins August 2nd in Greenland, one of the most isolated areas on earth. Many of you have asked why I would trek 62 miles with a 25 pound pack on my back when the lavender scented air of the south of France with an Aperol Spritz close at hand would seem a more likely siren call.  The mental and physical challenge, the discipline and rigor of training, the opportunity to meet 100 HSBC colleagues from around the world and the challenge to set and meet goals at any age certainly fueled my decision.  But most of all, I am participating to support WaterAid whose mission is to get clean water and sanitation to everyone, everywhere by 2030.  I hope you will support me with words of encouragement and also support WaterAid through a contribution of any amount.
