Christine's Journey
Mums journey began 12 years ago when she was diagnosed with PBC it remained stable for many years with medication during a routine check up in August 2010 she was advised that her liver was failing further and that a liver transplant would be the next consideration.
In February of this year mums liver deteriorated significantly and was referred to the liver transplant in Edinburgh unfortunately mum was not a suitable candidate for transplant due to other medical factors. We were advised at this time that mum's condition had changed from chronic to acute and that nothing else could be done.
Mum was hospitalised from February this year until she sadly passed away on June 15th 2011, apart from May 20th when she was allowed pass from hospital to attend my wedding looking her best as always, which was a wish and dream for her and my family.
Mum brightened up many rooms with her smile and personaility she was an inspiration to us all, we are all so proud of her, the fight, determination and courage she demonstrated on a daily basis was unbelievable. She will be sadly missed by all the people who's lifes she touched, many gaps are left but you will never be forgotten.
She was our best friend, love you always mum
