I'm running the Regent's Park 10k to raise money for the London Irish Centre, which is a lifeline to many Irish people in London. It helps Irish people in crisis, including those who are homeless, vulnerable and socially isolated. It supports older members of the Irish communities with day centres and befriending. It offers advice and support to recently-arrived emigrants and promotes Irish arts and culture.

The London Irish Centre does all this on just £1.2m a year, so every penny you can spare will make a big difference to continuing its work.

I'm quite bad at running. I'm really bad at early mornings. And I hate hot weather. So racing around a park with lots of keen people in the height of summer isn't my idea of fun. But I'm hoping to raise £200 to help the London Irish Centre and would be really grateful if you could chip in.
