Hi again folks! We so enjoyed last year's C2C cycle ride that we are going to do another coast to coast route this year to raise money for the Atutur Hospital Support Network. (AHSN) We will be cycling the 200 mile W2W route from Walney island (Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria) to Whitby, North Yorkshire. This dramatic route runs through the southern Lake District, Howgill fells, Yorkshire Dales, Teesdale, Vale of York and North York Moors. One highlight will be a visit to Tan Hill Inn, the highest pub in England!
Most of you will already be familiar with AHSN. Your generosity in the past has enabled a number of vital items of equipment to be purchased, most importantly 3 oxygen concentrators. We will be back in Uganda in October, seeking to establish a strategy for Village Health Team training in Kumi and Ngora districts through meeting with District Health Officers and other key contacts. We will also visit our friends at Atutur hospital and make initial visits to Kumi and Ngora hospitals. Donations will be used for VHT training and for hospital equipment.
We are delighted to have teamed up with Teso Development Trust as our supporting charity.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to TDT and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - We raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity! Thankyou for your support.
Kind regards,
Chris and Sharon
