My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For Christmas I was given a place in the 2012 London Marathon, and will be running for Venture Partnership Foundations. I hadn't heard of this charity before being asked to run for them, but was immediately excited about their work.
VPF are a charity which helps smaller, less well known charities grow and develop by providing grants and pro bono time from corporate mentors. Before offering support, VPF corporate and social advisors conduct thorough due diligence on charities to ensure that the greatest amount of money raised goes to good causes as possible.
Once a charity receives financial support, this is accompanied by mentoring from VPF corporate supporters on a pro bono basis, and VPF staff. They also have the opportunity to engage in numerous networking opportunities.
The great charities supported by VPF include the "Kids Company", "Teach First" and "PEAS" (Promoting Equality in African Schools) to name a few. You can find out more at http://www.vpf.org.uk/
