The Moredun Foundation Equine Grass Sickness Fund (EGSF) is a division of The Moredun Foundation, a registered Scottish charity. EGSF is dedicated to raising funds specifically for research into grass sickness, an often fatal disease of horse and ponies.

Story

In loving memory of Storm, who died aged 16months of Grass Sickness.  Joanne bred Storm herself paying careful attention to breeds to produce a Scottish Sports Horse in view of training and competing him when he reached the appropriate age.  He was developing very well and was promissing to be a great prospect.  On the 28th September 2008 he fell ill with Grass Sickness and died that day.  This so happened to be the same day I deployed for Afghanistan for a 6month tour, making it an even tougher time for Joanne and I.

I will run this in Storm's memory, remembering not just the horse he was but the horse he could have been.  Grass Sickness is a rare illness in horses and there is no known cure.  Please give generously to contribute towards finding a cure so others do not have to suffer a similar event.

Thank you.

Chris
