The North Pole Marathon 2015 · 8 April 2015

The National Autistic Society is here to transform lives, change attitudes and create a society that works for autistic people. There is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation and build a brighter future for autistic people. With your help, we can make it happen.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 5th April 2015, I'm flying to Oslo, Norway.  Next day it's up to Longyearben, on the small island of Spitsbergen, hundreds of miles further north.  From there, weather conditions permitting, it's a small ski-plane to the North Pole.  Into tents, and then 26 miles 385 yards of running, in temperatures of -25 degrees Celsius or colder.  It's a real adventure, a very tough challenge and not without some fear factor for someone who doesn't like the cold, and is a bit nervous of flying!

Fortunately I do like to run!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Just for the avoidance of doubt, all costs of the trip have been paid by myself - all charitable donations will go straight to Just Giving for the Charity itself.
