Bupa Great North Run 2012 · 16 September 2012 ·

Self Unlimited offers choices for adults with learning disabilities through its comprehensive network of housing, training and specialised support services. Our aim is to maximise choice so that each person we support can live their life to the full. Registered Charity Number 250058.

Story

This year myself (Christopher Wright), Michael Boyd, Richard Evans and Shanoor Choudhury will be taking part in the 2012 Great North Run in order to raise money for Self Unlimited, a national charity which supports adults with learning disabilities, helping thousands of people to live their lives the way they want.

This is the first time some of us have ran the Great North Run, first time we have ran any great distance! Others are more seasoned in the running department. Regardless of our experience though, all four of us are looking forward to testing ourselves, improving our fitness and hopefully (with your help), raising a wedge of cash for a very worthy cause.

Bit about this here 'JustGiving' website. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now. Goooo oooon, you know you want to. Many thanks in advance from myself, Michael and Shanoor.
