Climbing Ben Nevis · 16 September 2018

Around since 1923, SAMH currently operates over 60 services in communities across Scotland. These services together with our national programme work in See Me, respectme, suicide prevention, sport and physical activity; inform our policy and campaign work to influence positive social change.

Story

Despite my inability to climb Arthur’s Seat without needing several breaks and a gallon of water, I will be climbing Ben Nevis (the tallest mountain in the UK) in September along with several of my co-workers in aid of SAMH.

SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health) looks to support those most vulnerable who are dealing with mental health issues. I won’t bore you with the “everyone struggles or knows someone who struggles” speech, but it is true that this is an issue that impacts everyone and the more money raised, the better a service can be provided.
