My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Ian Spence, passed away suddenly on 24 October 2011.  Ian joined Citi Belfast in 2007 and worked in the Equities Team.

In Ian’s memory, Belfast Citi F.C. played a Charity Football Match against his club team, Comber YM F.C. on Friday 27 January at the Comber Leisure Centre.  The game was lively, with many comical moments, and it finished 3-3.  With Citi Belfast winning 3-1 on penalties after some heroics from the Citi keeper.  The aim is to raise enough donations to fully fund a specific project in Ian’s name at the Ekwendeni Hospital in Malawi via the Raven Trust.  Ian and the rest of the Spence family have been involved in fund raising for The Ekwendeni Hospital for the last 15 years or so, and the plan is to build a ‘breakfast shelter’ in Ian’s name for the children that come to the Hospital for breakfast.
