The Second Colombia Caravana went to Bogota in August 2010. During our visit we travelled to various towns in Colombia to find out the situation for human rights defenders and their clients. Sadly, the situation is, if anything, worse than when we visited in 2008.
The financial help already received from you has helped to pay for the Colombian human rights defenders' expenses in organising the 2010 Caravana.
But our project is ongoing. We urgently need further funds so that we can establish a permanent administrative secretariat in London and in Bogota, to help ensure the continuing support of UK lawyers for their Colombian colleagues.
