Thanks for supporting my fundraising.  

Many of us have been impacted by cancer either personally or through family and friends.  I lost one of my closest friends, Tina, at the young age of 30, my wonderful Uncle Jim was taken from us 3 years ago, and last year I lost my darling friend Mandy.  These three fantastic people have had a big impact on my life and the person I am today, therefore it is time for me to give something back in return for the unconditional love, friendship and support they gave to me.  Not a day goes past when I don’t think about them, and think about the good times and milestones in our lives that we shared; I miss them so very much.

I regularly donate to Macmillan but this year I have decided to fundraise as well.  Along with my team mates, the Highfield Hikers, I will be taking part in the Macmillan Thames Path Mighty Hike in July 2019, walking 26 miles to raise money for this great charity.  Macmillan Cancer Support is here to help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can, providing physical, financial and emotional support,  so whatever cancer throws our way, they are right right there with us.
