Story

Hi Everyone

Many Thanks for visiting my justgiving page.  After completing the Great North Run I would just like to thank everyone that has supported me and is continuing to support me for the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

The race was a wonderful experience, one that will stay with me forever, especially when my toes started to cramp up and legs felt as though they belonged to someone else. But seriously the event was spectacular and something I am proud to be part of and quite humbled by some of the people that took part for their own personal reasons.

Below is a link to my personal results and I am glad to say that I finished the race in 2 hours and 32 minutes and came 1625 for my gender and age group!

Again thank you for sponsoring and supporting me and here is a reminder of the charity that you have supported:

The Duke of Edinburgh Award Helping to change peoples lives for the better.  They develop skills, serve their communities, improve their fitness, discover new capabilities, meet new challenges, make new friends and have fun.  The scheme is open to everyone between the ages of 14 and 25, from athletes to young people with special needs, from undergraduates to young offenders.  Your Sponsorship will help young people with special needs start their Duke of Edinburgh programme.

Claire xx
