The Prince's Trust Palace to Palace 2016 · 2 October 2016 ·

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

Nearly 6 months on from completing the Brighton Marathon I am now taking part in a new challenge, this time on my bike!

I have signed up to the Palace to Palace bike ride which takes place on the 2nd October. The route is 45 miles long, starting at Buckingham Palace and finishing at Windsor Castle with a few big hills in between.

The Palace to Palace ride is organised by the Prince's Trust who support 13 to 30-year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school and at risk of exclusion. Many of the young people they help are in or leaving care, facing issues such as homelessness or mental health problems, or they have been in trouble with the law.

They give vulnerable young people the practical and financial support needed to stabilise their lives, helping develop self-esteem and skills for work. Fundraising for The Prince’s Trust will help change the lives of some of the hardest to reach young people in the UK.
