Claire's doing a marathon

Big Walk 2018 · 22 June 2018 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 22nd June, I'll be taking part in 'The Big Walk' , a University of Sheffield event to raise money for the Sheffield Scanner Appeal. The appeal is halfway to raising its £2M target to establish a MRI-PET Scanner facility for Sheffield, for use both in medical research and treatment for patients.
The 26.2 mile route starts (conveniently)in Lodge Moor and takes in Stanage and Derwent edges before finishing at the Universty via High Bradfield and Loxley valley. I'm aiming to run most of the route (except the hills!) and this will be first time I've covered this distance.
My target is to raise £150 through sponsorship and another £100 by taking part in Crosspool open gardens the following weekend. Last year our garden (and 12 others) were open to the public and I raised £100 for the same cause through ticket, plant and cake sales.
