Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

I was not born a runner. Really. But i'm really proud to be running to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA). MNDA is a vital charity that focuses on care, research and campaigning for this devastating disease as well as and in memory of David Peall who unfortunately passed away last year from this disease.

Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting.

MND can affect how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe. It is a severely life-shortening condition for most people, with life expectancy for about half of those with the condition being only three to four years from the start of symptoms.Although there is currently no cure for MND, symptoms can be managed to help you achieve the best possible quality of life.

Any donation you make is so very much appreciated. Thanks for your support.
