Paddock Wood Half Marathon 2012 · 1 April 2012 ·

Nephrotic Syndrome (NS) affects approx 10,000 people in the UK, majority are children, with no known cause or cure. The current treatment is non-specific and highly toxic, with many potentially life-threatening complications. NeST funds Bristol Children's Hospital in researching NS to find a cure.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My 6 year old son was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome in April 2008 aged 2.5. We were told this is incurable. After 2 years on high dose steroids and a course of chemotherapy he is currently in remission, this unfortuantely will not last and the enivitable relapse will happen. Nest provide vital research into finding a cure for this disease.

I will also be taking part in a Zumabathon, 10km Run in May and another half marathon in September so your sponsorship is rolled into one for all these events.

Thank you very much it is appreciated.
