Story
I will be climbing the Yorkshire Three Peaks on the 29th April 2017 with a team from Coutts UK. The aim is to climb 24 miles in 12 hours to raise as much money as possible for charity through good old fashioned physical effort - for me this will be a enormous challenge, but I am determined and every pound donated will help get me up those hills (to me mountains!).
Of course I am not doing this for the love of climbing, I am raising funds for an amazing charity, Coram. Coram has been raising money for vulnerable children in the UK for over 275 years when Thomas Coram first established The Foundling Hospital, London's first home for babies whose mothers were unable to care for them. Each year they spend over a million pounds on improving young peoples lives.
Here's an example of how your donations can help:
£5 could help pay to run a specialist support group for adopted children.
£10 could help fund a survival pack for young people leaving care.
£15 could contribute towards the cost of a music therapy session, to help a child overcome their traumatic past.
