Parkinson's Disease Society - Trek Sahara · 7 November 2009 ·

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Thank you for visiting my Trek Sahara sponsorship page.

From 7-15 November I completed a 100km trek across the Sahara desert.  Me and my team (of 28) have so far raised a staggering £91,000 for the Parkinson's Disease Society.  Your support will help us reach the phenomenal target of £100,000!

I have grown up watching the most important person in my life (my Grandad) being slowly taken over by Parkinson's and had the painful shock of discovering it was the cause of death of my wonderful Grandma two years ago.

Please dig deep and sponsor me online - it's quick, easy and totally secure.

The Parkinson's Disease Society fund research that is focused on transforming lives.  This research has led to advances in the search for the cause of Parkinson's, improved medical and surgical treatments, better therapies and equipment, and towards finding a cure.

Parkinson's is a devastating disease.  Please support me and the PDS to help find a cure.
