Cancer.....that word we never want to hear affecting our loved ones. There are so many stories of bravery and hope but this year I have been touched and humbled by one very special horse mad teenager called Hannah Francis. Together with her toy horse Wilberry, Hannah wrote about her courageous battle with bone cancer and her adventures along the way. She had a bucket list including meeting stars of her sport, eventing, and competing her horse Mavis when she was strong enough. Hannah sadly lost her battle in August this year. However, she has inspired so many horse riders from superstars to your average rider like me. 

So the Wobbleberry (!) Challenge has been formed to raise money for Wilberry Wonder Pony charity. The challenge involves taking part in a one day event (dressage, show jumping & cross country) at the starting level (80cm). It's aimed at people who are nervous of jumping or haven't jumped for years or older etc. 

How do I fit that criteria? Well I'm the wrong side of 35 😞, just had a baby so unfit & out of practice, my last one day event was 10 years ago and my horse Fraggle hasn't jumped a single fence yet in his life! So It's going to be quite a challenge but one we are hoping to complete in Sept/Oct next year. Yes it really will take this long to train my horse & I to do this safely.
