BUPA Great North Run 2013 · 15 September 2013 ·

Tiny Lives is a charitable trust that helps to care for 800+ premature and sick newborn babies and their families each year. It supports the Newcastle Neonatal Service at Newcastle Royal Victoria Infirmary that cares for babies from across the North East and Cumbria.

Story

A couple of years ago my niece Grace entered the world unexpectedly very premature.  Despite the excellent specialist care received at both Doncaster and Hull hospitals, she sadly passed away.  As a family we will always be so grateful for the care and support received during and after this extremely difficult time.

So my first Great North Run is about honouring the memory of my beautiful little niece And in the process raising money to help such specialist care baby units and all the work they do. Having lived in Newcastle for 9 years I also wanted to donate to a local charity hence the choice of Tiny Lives.

Every donation small or large can and will change the lives of many babies and families so thank you for taking the time to visit my just giving page and supporting me in my first ever Great North Run.  Together we can make a difference.
