Bonkers by name, bonkers by nature...In a moment of madness, I have agreed to take a freezing winter plunge!

On the 9th December at 9am I'll be dressed in Victorian swimwear and jump from a pontoon into the freezing waters of the Serpentine lake at Hyde Park.

Why? Well, it's for a good cause...

I've been supporting Macmillan Cancer Support for the last two years and together with my fantastic Charity Committee at work we've already raised nearly £30,000.

So, as a final push before the end of the year, and to demonstrate my committment to the cause, I'm joining my fellow Committee members to take the plunge!

The thought of donations (and a subsequent nip of whisky and a mince pie) will be the only thing making me get in the water on that cold winter morning.

I would be so grateful of any donation you could make towards this worthwhile cause - and if you're in London, you're more than welcome to watch what will no doubt be a great spectacle of lunacy on the 9th, but we'll also make sure there's photo evidence posted after the event.
