In memory of Sally Hicks-Wood
We raise funds to fight breast cervical and ovarian cancer

Story

Claire Wood and Fiona Mildren have madly signed up for “Ride the Night” a ladies only 100k charity bike ride around London on the 27 May 2017.  Why have we decided to punish ourselves by doing such a crazy thing, we have asked ourselves that very same question lol. But signed up we have, and now the training has started all be it a little slowly, but we are getting there and will keep you informed of our progress.

We have decided to do the ride in support of The Falmouth based Pink Wig Events. The Pink Wiggers have been going since 2009 and have raised over £70,000 for charity with an aim to support funds for vital research projects, the best care for cancer patients in Cornwall and a safer future for the next generation.  Pink Wig Events was started by Sally Hicks-Wood who sadly passed away in 2015 following the return of the cancer.  Her daughter-in-law Claire Wood and friend Fiona Mildren from Fal River are cycling the Ride the Night challenge in memory of Sally and to continue her legacy.

What we need from all of our friends, relatives and acquaintances is donations any amount will be greatly appreciated (even £1 will do). All the donations are going to “LADIES CANCER CHARITIES” such a great cause and money is so needed to help try to find a cure and make life a little easier for all the people who are affected by these illnesses.
