"Bowel cancer is the UK’s second biggest cancer killer – claiming 16,000 lives each year - yet it is one of the most treatable cancers, as over 90% of cases could be successfully treated if diagnosed early. I'm really pleased to be supporting Beating Bowel Cancer on this ride as it's a disease that has done its worst over the years; claiming both of my grandads and some close family friends, while leaving still others to continue their battle against its physical, not to mention psychological, legacy.
