At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you. Visit www.younglivesvscancer.org.uk

Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page!

Let me tell you why I’ve decided to start running half marathon’s and 10K’s at the grand old age of 39! Over the last year I have witnessed the devastating effects of Cancer– how it can rock families. If it wasn’t for people fund raising and taking the time out to support great charities that put research into ways of preventing, curing & supporting then the world would be a much, much crueller place. Thankfully I have seen what Cancer research has done and seen happy endings. But sometimes not… Sometimes you hear stories which really pull at your heart strings. You read stories, think about them, think how lucky you are and are grateful for what you have but when you read something and know the family involved in such heart break it makes you want to try and help in some small way.

The best way of telling the story is to direct you to Clare King's JustGiving site;

After reading Clare’s page I think, no..  I know, you would’ve felt the same as me. This is why I decided to start running – it’s just one way to try and help. The work CLIC SARGENT do is amazing. I don’t think I need to say much more apart from PLEASE sponsor me; as little or as much as you can. I will be out training wind, rain or shine (unfortunately it won’t be the latter at the moment!!) A MASSIVE, MASSIVE THANK YOU!!
