<p><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">In February 2010, our eight year old daughter, Hannah, lost her brave 18 month fight against Cancer.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Two local Sussex Charities, <strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">Chestnut Tree House (Registered Charity No: 256789) </strong></span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">and </span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">Children With Cancer Fund (CWCF) (Registered Charity No: 1110644)</strong>, </span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">provided essential support to Hannah and our family, enriching the quality of life for Hannah and providing special memories for us all to cherish.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">In order to raise funds so that the two Charities may continue to provide valuable support to </span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Sussex</span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"> children with life-limiting illnesses, we are organising a </span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">Charity Family Race Afternoon </strong></span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">to be held on</span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"> Saturday, 28<sup>th</sup> May 2011</strong></span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"> (at Knoyle Hall, </span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">St John’s Church</span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">,</span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Knoyle Road</span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">, </span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Brighton</span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">). All funds raised will be divided equally between </span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">Chestnut Tree House</strong></span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"> </span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">and </span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">Children With Cancer Fund (CWCF)</strong></span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">. </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">Children With Cancer Fund (CWCF)</strong></span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";">The aim of Children With Cancer Fund (CWCF) is to raise money and distribute it to families, and causes, that are associated with children up to the age of 18 who have had, or are suffering from, a form of cancer, and who live in East Sussex/Brighton and Hove.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";"> </span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">CWCF covers projects that will enable the children, and families of children with cancer, to have the quality of life that we would hope to have ourselves.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>If this means that by purchasing a piece of equipment, eg educational or medical, or a special toy, CWCF would try to buy it.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Alternatively, time spent together out of the normal living environment, like a holiday, may be of benefit.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>If so, then CWCF would try and arrange this.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>CWCF may assist a local hospital/hospice to aid recovery or make the last part of a child’s life more bearable.</span></p>
