Hi Guys, i am currently volentering for the YMCA Dont Duck The Issue project and i have decided to swim in Lake Windemere to raise money for the ongoing homeless poject.

Paddling in the wake of last years successful Duck Race and Swim... YMCA Lancaster 'Dont Duck The Issue' team are trying to coax people into the welcoming waters of Windermere!

Against the stunning backdrop of Lakeland in its full Autumn glory, the plucky crew will swim to retrieve120 XXL rubber ducks from a pontoon 750 meters out.

OR get a team together and enter the Great Duck Boat Race.. from the shore of Lakeside YMCA National Outdoor Centre.

YMCA Lancasters effort has the twin objectives of raising money for the ongoing homless prevention project and raising awarness of homelessness as a burning community issue. The 120 Ducks represent the 120 young prople currently known to be dealing with homelessness in the Lancaster area.
