Running for Ocean Ward

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Those of you who know me know that I’m not religious but in April 2017 there was day where I got on my knees and prayed that, that day the beautiful 4 year old Poppy Matthews would have a successful outcome to her heart surgery and that the whole Matthews family would feel the love and support we were all sending. The amazing surgeons, doctors, nurses and all the staff of Ocean Ward took care of the beautiful Pops and she successfully recovered from surgery.
So over a few glasses of prosecco I found myself agreeing to run the Great South Run as a way of saying thank you for helping Poppy. Given that I couldn’t run a mile at the time I was slightly apprehensive! Each time I didn’t want to run Poppy was my inspiration because she is an amazing character who has truly left footprints in my heart!
