Thanks for taking the time to visit our Just giving Page.......
So here is our challenge - two teams - Duncan's Dudes and Pete's Platoon
Duncan's Dudes will be combining their mapping and compass skills with a sense of the ridiculous to complete their task in 12 hours, over rough boggy, rugged and rocky terrain - this task is not to be underestimated. It covers 25 miles over the three peaks in a circular walk starting and finishing at Horton-in Riblesdale, visiting the three highest peaks in Yorkshire.
Pete's Platoon on the other hand, whilst facing a stiff challenge with equal determination will avoid 'peaking' too soon by tackling Ingleborough (the toughest of the Peaks), whilst encouraging the Dudes to complete their course and racing them to the nearest public house..!
Our Charity - The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance Service is a worthy cause - Every day the Air Ambulance crew provide an efficient, rapid response to road traffic collisions, sporting accidents, collapses, and many other incidents through Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. The Helicopter is called out on average 3-5 times per day, and many of these missions are life saving. It is their aim to provide a rapid and efficient Air Ambulance service to the people of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, taking patients to the most appropriate hospital for thir needs. With your help and support they will continue to extend the service, and keep the Air Ambulance flying and saving lives.
