Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. We are taking part in the Caring Matters Now trekking challenge...to trek 25 miles along Hadrian's Wall. We start at Lanercost Priory on Friday evening and finish on Sunday in Brocolitia, camping out along the way! We are in training but still somewhat apprehensive......

Caring Matters Now is charity that supports people who have a congenital melanocytic naevus (or CMN) like 13 year old Elspeth - Susanna's daughter, and Clare's goddaughter. CMN is caused by a genetic mutation and manifests itself through birth marks which can appear anywhere on the body and generally are evident from birth. These birthmarks vary in size but are brown/black and often hairy. As a charity Caring Matters Now is fantastic in supporting people who have CMN and also has a dedicated researcher at Great Ormond St who is working on its causes, prognosis and treatments.

We know how important Caring Matters Now is, and has been over the years since Elspeth was born.  The support from the charity has definitely contributed to Elspeth being the well-rounded, and lovely girl that she is. The money we raise will help to continue that support and research into the condition. 

We know that many of you have supported us before in our fundraising, there was the running (Clare and Susanna), 24 peaks (Susanna) and more running (Clare) and an awful lot of cake, and so we would be incredibly grateful for any donaton small or large to help CMN continue its fantastic work.
