Story

Hi Everyone,

My names Clare Taylor. I'm 35 and a married mum of 3 gorgeous boys and i'm encouraging women & men to check for abnormalities in the breast area in a new fresh way.

I'm setting up a website called Happy Baps. www.happybaps.com

I'm asking Women AND men to decorate their breast tastefully and post a picture for the gallery.

The idea is that during the process it will hopefully make people think about checking themselves too.

I lost my own mother to Ovarian Cancer at the young age of 61 three years ago so i feel very strongly about checking for early signs to hopefully save lives.

I set a page up on facebook originally after receiving great feedback from my first photo that i'd posted on my personal profile.

But facebook has to stick to its own terms & conditions with having millions of members so some of the photos were deleted.

It all started from me receiving yet another chain email asking for me to put my shoe size on my status bar all in aid of Breast Cancer. I dont think looking at somebodies status with a shoe size makes you think about checking yourself and taking care of your own health. Hence my breast photo thought.

I posted a photo of my breast looking like a pig, covering the nipple area with a pig snout. Mum LOVED pigs :0)

I have members who have admitted they'd never thought to check themselves before and have done it for the first time after seeing Happy Baps.

One member actually found a lump after decorating her breast. Thankfully it was just a cyst.

THE HAPPY BAPS PLEDGE, THE PROMISE WE SWEAR

TO KNOW OUR OWN BODY, TO BE BREAST AWARE

WHAT CHANGES TO LOOK FOR, THE SIGNS WE MIGHT SEE

THE FIRST SIGNS OF DANGER, TO CALL OUR GP

RAISING AWARENESS IN OUR OWN SPECIAL WAY

THE HAPPY BAPS GROUP, COME SIGN UP TODAY

JOIN THE FIGHT AGAINST CANCER AND SHOW US SOME SKIN

WE'LL FIGHT IT TOGETHER AND TOGETHER WE'LL WIN!!

Clare x
