Story

This page is the place to donate money to Cancer Research UK in return for either listening to, or downloading, the song Clare Island.

The song was recorded by the following people ...

Chris Kendall - Vocals and guitar, Ian Clegg - Mandocello, guitar and vocals, Chris Chalk - Bass

Backing vocals by Sally Victorian, Diane Bailey, Nicki Moore and Pippa MacKeith (all from the Clarion Choir in Nottingham)

The original idea came from Chris Kendall who wanted to record a personal version of this song for his friend Kevin who lives over in America.

Kevin is a cancer sufferer and had to have major surgery to remove a brain tumor and is undergoing chemotherapy.

This song is one of Kevin's favourites and Chris thought that it would be a good way to try to cheer him up a bit.

However, once we had done it, we thought that it could be used to raise money to help others and we obviously chose Cancer Research UK as the recipients.

Sadly, Kevin has now died after a brave fight, but the fight still goes on for others, so please help with a donation if you can.

So, thanks for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page.
