Story
Throughout Africa, there are some terrible transport problems that stop people from accessing healthcare, prevent them getting involved in economic activity and kill children on the roads. Transaid tackles these problems with well-researched, practical and creative solutions like driver training, bicycle ambulances and even a taxi-driver collective in Nigeria, taking women to the clinic for free if complications develop during labour and childbirth.
Last year, I trekked Ethiopia for Transaid. In June, I cycled Madagascar for them. Then in July, I teamed up with Women in Logistics UK to host a charity ball. These initiatives have raised £19,350. I can't bear it! Just another £650 and we would have reached £20k. So I've signed up to cycle from London to Paris this October. Please, please help us raise that final £650 to help Transaid continue its vital work...
