This September, myself and Lee will be raising money at Shine Night Walk to help Cancer Research UK beat bowel cancer sooner.
Thousands of people have benefited from Cancer Research UK’s work. Thanks to improvements in diagnosis and treatment, half of people with bowel cancer will survive for at least 10 years after diagnosis. But we can’t stop there. Sadly, bowel cancer still claims around 43 lives each day.
My mum was diagnosed with bowel cancer a year ago and is still fighting it with Chemotherapy. It's a silent disease which we had no idea she had, what is frightening is that the symptoms are non descript and easily ignored. I am hoping that raising money will help to fund earlier detection and cures.
I'm not doing it alone, I've roped one of my bestest buddies Lee to do the walk with me, so at 10.15pm on 26th September when you're either in a pub having a few drinks or snuggled at home in front of the TV, we will be starting our 26 mile walk through the night through London.
Please dig deep and sponsor us. Every pound you donate will help fund their life-saving work.
