Three Peaks Challenge · 11 September 2009

We are an independent charity dedicated to putting our region’s cancer needs first, funding pioneering research to tackle the cause, improve the care and find the cure for cancer. We focus on the types of cancer that affect people living across North West England and North Wales the most.

On the 11th of September we are attempting to complete the Three Peaks Challenge.  This basically entails climbing the three highest peaks in Britain (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon) all in 24 hours!!!!

I don't know how much you know about the charity, Clatterbridge Cancer Research is a hospital based on the Wirral. The charity if you don't already know is purely funded by donations only, which is why it is a very worthwhile cause and needs as much help and support as possible.  It is also a charity that is very close to us all as many of the climbers families have experienced the work Clatterbridge provide when they have had treatment there.  We try to do lots of different fundraising events throughout each year, this being just one of them.  Last year we did a 15,000ft sky dive!  We have also got one of our major fundraising events coming up in August which is called the 'Big Night Out'.  I've put a link below which tells you a little more about the centre and the fantastic work they do.

I do appreciate that you no doubt get lots of people contacting you asking for help but If you can help in anyway you really would be helping and contributing to a fantastic cause and it would be extremely appreciated.

Many thanks,
