Story
We are taking part in the Devizes to Westminster Canoe Race, which is one of the most demanding endurance events open to anyone who is interested. It involves paddling 125 miles in a kayak over 4 days from Devizes along the Kennet & Avon Canal to the River Thames, finishing under Westminster Bridge in London. By the time of the race we will have completed 8 months of training to prepare us for the challenge ahead.
We are raising money for the MS Trust. For those who don't know MS, or Multiple Sclerosis, is a disease that affects the brain and spinal cord, resulting in loss of muscle control, vision, balance, and sensation (such as numbness). With MS the nerves of the brain and spinal cord are damaged by one's own immune system. Unfortunately there is no known cure at the moment.
Any donations are greatly appreciated.
