The Ultimate Three Peaks Challenge · 5 June 2013
Applying for the University of London Air Squadron was the best decision I made whilst at UCL. Now I get to give something back by pushing myself to the limit along with 22 other brave members of the squadron by climbing Great Britain's three highest peaks: Ben Nevis (Scotland), Scafell Pike (England), Snowdon (Wales). All in under 24 hours, starting in the early hours of Thursday 6th June marching up the foothills of Ben Nevis and crawling down the final slopes of Snowdon an entire day later.
However, that is not everything! The squadron as a whole aims to raise £10,000 for our chosen charity, The Jon Egging Trust, by the end of August so please support us by donating!
This summer is going to be packed with so many more events, including a 46mile run, a Gangnamathon, Coast-to-Coast cycle ride, a 4 day march covering 40km per day, street collections, and as if that wasn't enough, we're rowing the Atlantic collectively as a squadron (covering 4000km on the rowing machines, not on the Ocean!).
So whether I march, climb, scramble or crawl my way over the Nation's three highest peaks, please dig deep, and donate today!
