Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have now completed my cycle ride from Lands End to John O'Groats, I completed it on time, with only one puncture to repair, no other mechanical problems. I did need to re-oil the chain because of the rain and the new brake blocks are nearly worn out, but they are not problems.
New dates for my ride are 5th to 17th September 2010.
I am going to cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats between the above dates, I must get back to Derby on the 8th. The damage sustained during a training ride has been repaired and now I am all set to do this challenge that I have set myself.
I will be raising money for breast Cancer Care and two other charities. All of these charities support people who suffer from diseases that I have been personally touched by.
My mother was dianosed with Breast cancer in 2006. She has since had a Mastectomy and reconstruction. She has been told that the cancer has been removed an that as it was 'hormonal' it is very unlikely that she will need any more care. She is active in her local Breast cancer support group and will be supporting me throughout my cycling adventure.
Breast Cancer Care is the national charity that supports Breast Cancer sufferers. It also funds research into treatment.
