Thanks for visiting the fundraising page of the CO-OPERATIVE RISKY RIDERS.
The weekend was certainly eventful with more of the route being off road than expected and with numerous incidents, breakdowns and poor weather hindering the team. The ride was finally stopped just short of 100 miles when the team arrived at a river to find the bridge had been swept away with no easy way round. Well done to all the riders and support involved for all their hard work and effort, and for giving up their weekend for a very worthy cause. The ride will be completed by members of the team one weekend before the end of the year

We are members of the Operational Risk department of the Co-operative Group, and on 18th/19th September 2010 we will be cycling 145 miles coast to coast ( to Whitehaven) over two days to raise money for the Children's Adventure Farm Trust in Altrincham. The cyclists (Anthony Simpson, Jason McGovern, Mia Evans, Mike Furphy, Phil Willsmer, Phil George, Simon Bannaghan, Stephen Blanchard, Stephen Hartley, Paul Winstanley,Tim Platt, Amanda Douglas and Nadia Batool)
Supporting the team will be Vikki Manchee, Mark Manchee, Terry Auckland and Gemma Walker.
As an additional challenge, two of our team, Stephen Hartley and Ian France, have bravely offered to have their heads shaved if £100 was raised by their colleagues in the team. This took place on 17 September - photos to follow!!
The aim is to involve as many members of the team as possible whilst raising money for a fantastic charity, the Children's Adventure Farm Trust. Please dig deep to help us raise money for this cause and provide joy to many sick and disadvantaged children.
Thank you.
