The Wales Air Ambulance Charity provides advanced life-saving emergency care for everyone in Wales, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are a ‘mobile emergency department’ that relies entirely on donations to keep our helicopters in the air and rapid response vehicles on the road.

Story

On the 12th September the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff Bay will be celebrating its 10th Anniversary by organising a journey of Welsh Myth and Magic called Ar Waith Ar Daith. As part of the celebrations, invitations were sent out to all kinds of Welsh boat clubs to come and row into Cardiff in a sensational sea spectacle.

However, we love a challenge at MYC Rowing so decided to go one better by attempting to row the whole way down the coastline from Porthmadog to Cardiff - all 230 miles of it!

The challenge will set off on the 2nd September 2015 and our team of rugged rowers will be taking it in turns to row about 20-30 miles a day with other longboat teams joining them along the way.

Unfamiliar waters, unpredictable weather and high sea rowing; this will be an endurance challenge like no other.
