We provide the support needed to give homeless young people a future

Story

When we say we want to help and support our charity we mean it! Ken and a few of the Cocoon team have taken up the Centrepoint gauntlet and are sleeping on the streets of London to raise awareness and money for the charity.

Centrepoint houses and supports 830 homeless young people between the ages of 16 and 25 every night.  Despite working in this field since 1969 there is no doubt that this is the harshest economic environment we have ever faced.

Over the past five years, hundreds of Centrepoint supporters have given up their bed for the night and taken part in the Sleep Out.  This year's event is at Old Spitalfields Market on the 12th of November 2009 where you will be joined by 450 Sleepers showing solidarity with some of the most marginalised people in society.

The aim of the Sleep Out is to raise awareness of the plight of young homeless people as well as raising much needed funds, it would be great if you could join us at the event or if not sponsor us.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Centrepoint gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor us now!
