Story
The challenge is on - let's get this raised during dementia awareness week (14th - 20th May 2017).
Hebden Bridge Ladies Circle's Facebook page has 180 likes. If each of those likes donated the cost of a cup of coffee to Alzheimer's Society, we could raise well over £300 in just 7 days!
One of our members, Anita, knows just how much of a truly devastating illness dementia is, but she just gets on with looking after her Mum, as well as her own young family.
Please donate what you can to help find a cure. In the meantime, families like Anita's benefit from Alzheimer's Society by getting the right information and support.
See you how much of a difference you can make the next time you fancy of a coffee;
£50 will help a PhD researcher to continue research into the causes of dementia, how it can be treated and, ultimately,find a cure.
£100 could fund the equipment and resources needed for three days of a dementia researcher's vital investigations.
£250 could teach a group of ten MP's vital information about dementia in a Dementia Friends session in parliament.
£500 could pay for 700 copies of our new Understanding Your Diagnosis booklets, helping those recently diagnosed with dementia understand more about the condition and how to come to terms with some of the feelings they might be having.
On behalf of all of our members, thank you, Alison (Chair) x
