Story
3 doctors and a vet are taking part in the Mull cyclosportive to raise funds for the Margaret Kerr unit - a new palliative care unit at the BGH. The Borders is the only mainland Scotland healthboard not to have a palliative care unit or independent hospice. The unit will be an eight-bedded facility with en suite rooms and landscaped garden. Construction has started, and it is hoped to open next year. We all think this is a fantastic cause and would like to raise as much money as possible to help - and the best thing about it is that Mull is far enough away that no-one has to see us in our lycra!
We all greatly appreciate any donations.
