Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Please spare a few pounds if you can for this great charity.

Joe and I are taking part in this year's Great Curry Run organised by St George's School in Harpenden because we felt it was time we did something to make a difference to someone else's lives. Every 10 metres we run will represent one soldier who has died in conflict since 1964 and the school has now raised over £150,000 over four years with this great event. This year there are 500 taking part who are associated in some way with the school and want to raise funds.

The charity gives lifetime support to serving and retired soldiers and their families. They risk so much for us, but for them, it’s just doing their job. In return, the charity provides financial assistance when they are in real need and they’ve been there to offer that for 70 years.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
