Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

This year Joe and I are taking part in the Curry Run for Elizabeth's legacy of Hope. This is an amazing charity that provides life changing support for children who have lost their limbs through war, accidents and lack of access to medical care.

The charity was founded by twin sisters Sarah Hope and Victoria Bacon in 2011. In 2007 three generations of their family were involved in a horrific bus crash in London. The girls' mother Elizabeth was tragically killed, Sarah was badly injured as was her two year old daughter who had to have her leg amputated below the knee. She then faced 14 operations in six months.

Despite the tragedy she leads a full and happy life thanks to the care she has received here in the UK. Across the world though, it is a different story for child amputees.

In 2011, in memory of their mother, the girls decided to start the charity. ELOH offers some of the most vulnerable amputees in the world help and assistance. They provide new limbs, physio, psychological and educational support, changing their lives completely.

About the charity
