As many of you know, I turn 50 this year, so I have set myself the challenge of cycling from Land's End to John O Groats (LEJOG). This has always been a personal goal of mine and this year seemed like a good time to go for it. I start off at the bottom of the country on 6 May and finish on the top on 18 May.

I have decided to use this challenge as a way of raising money for Kayleigh's Wee Stars. This  charity is based in Aberdeenshire and was set up by Ythan Cycle Club member Jonathan Cordiner and his wife Anna to provide financial support for families in which a child has a terminal illness.

Jonathan and Anna’s personal story is one of great sadness, but they were inspired by  their own tragedy to help others. Please take a little time to visit their website.
