There is still much we do not know about cancer, both in terms of prevention and treatment.  I want to support the World Cancer Research fund in their continual effort to improve our understanding of cancer and one day to find a cure.  In common with many, my close family has suffered from this disease, most recently my father-in-law, Alan Cushnir, may his soul rest in peace.  When I run in the St Alban's Half Marathan on Sunday 9 June, I will be thinking about Alan and hoping that the money that I am raising for WCRF will help in unlocking some of the answers about cancer sooner rather than later.
