Leading the way to a better quality of life for everyone severely affected by mental illness.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As you know I’m a big fraidy-cat and hate doing anything adventurous. So it will come as a massive suprise that I’ve been talked into throwing myself out of a perfectly good plane while it’s in the air.
It’s all for a good cause, raising awareness for mental health issues and hopefully some of you will donate a few of your hard earned pounds to the Rethink Mental Illness charity, which has been selected by ITN to benefit from a group of us doing a charity tandem skydive.
The jump itself takes place, weather permitting, at Headcorn Airfield on the 11th August.
Money donated through JustGiving goes straight to the charity, so I can’t spend any of it on Jack Daniels before the jump!
Rethink Mental Illness are the largest voluntary sector provider of mental health services with over 200 services in England. Founded 40 years ago through voluntary groups for people affected by mental illness, they have over 100 groups in England.
There are over 3 million people in this country affected by mental illness - people who urgently need support and information, hope and understanding. Rethink Mental Illness is here for everyone with mental illness, as well as family, carers and friends. But people have told us it sometimes takes years to find us. Years of feeling isolated, confused and frustrated. That simply must change.
Please donate what you can, to help them, help us.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
