BREAKING NEWS!!!!! Barclays have agreed to match all money raised up to a maximum of £750

Over the years Claire and I have been involved in supporting New Hope Orphanage in Kenya. The little boy in the City kit is called Amos. Amos and Esther (his sister) are orphans. Amos is now 7. Amos and Esther are 2 of over 125 orphans looked after in the orphanage.

Claire and I have been sponsoring Amos for the last 5 years. In addition to other things I organised a team and completed a marathon in support of the orphanage and in doing so raised £11k. This was to fund a building in which the children could eat, study and play.

There are numerous sad stories from the orphanage that just serve to remind us how lucky we are. There are even more stories that remind us of the difference we can make to lives of these children. They now have beds, shoes, electricity and water. Amos is now so lucky that he even has a City kit and a Robinho poster.

There is a website called www.newhopechildrenscentre.org where you can find more detail on the work the orphanage does. (There is even a picture of me days before the marathon. I was even slimmer and healthier then.) The reason I mention this is that rather than buying me a birthday present I would prefer to raise money for the Orphanage.

By making a donation you will automatically be entered in the raffle to choose a song for someone to sing. If you can put the song title in the message field it gives us a far better chance of ensuring it is available. (This is genuine and not just me thinking I can practice.) The highest donation as at 9th October gets to choose a fancy dress outfit for me to wear. (Claire thinks Fat Elvis is a good choice but enough about her fantasies. Make her day, and mine!!!!!!!!)

Thanks for your support and I look forward to seeing you all soon.
