Story

Well from the beginning in 2010 my Dad was diagnosed with the Big C, Feb 2011 he got the news he was in remission. So after a good few drinks I decided to announce that in August of that year despite being out of shape and carrying far too much timber I would cycle John O Groats to Lands in End in 10 days. Which I’m proud to say I did it with aid and support of my family and friends. So things were looking up and all rosy, well how wrong could i have been in March 2012 we got the call everyone would dread Big C had returned and had come back with a vengeance so we decided to make the most of what time we had left with a a few firsts in my dad’s life, Trip to the Lake District, Trip to White Hart lane and Reebok Stadium to watch his beloved Spurs were we hammered both Blackburn and Bolton and the rest as they say is history on the 5th June 2012 Charles Vincent Fotheringham my dear Dad passed away, what a bugger two days before my birthday the tight sod anything to save a couple of quid.

Love you and miss you very much Dad, hope your keeping tabs on the footy AVB could just be the new messiah.

So if you have got this far and decided not a make a donation trust me you need your head reading the work that Macmillan do is essential to ensure those people suffering with Cancer and their families can get the support they need to get through it.
